KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CHARITIES
Charity is at the heart of our work and our faith — and it always has been. For the Knights of Columbus, charity means supporting a virtually boundless variety of projects. Donate Online
At our local Council, we make cash donations to other needy ministries within our parish community. Some examples of the recipients of our cash donations have included the following:
- OLQA School, our top donee
- OLQA Faith Formation
- Local chapter of Habitat for Humanity, where brother Knights from our Council are involved
- Helping Hands, an OLQA initiative meant to help the local homeless community
- Support for seminarians within the Diocese of Orange
- OLQA Rosary Ministry
- Obria Medical, founded by OLQA parishioners and meant to assist pregnant women
- Recent Recipient: Knights of Columbus Ukraine Solidarity Fund
In addition, since the Covid pandemic, our Council has acted as a conduit to collect food and cash donations that are in turn donated primarily to SPIN and Catholic Charities of Orange County. This initiative is ongoing and has become an important part of our charitable mission.

One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to support the Knights of Columbus charitable cause of your choice.
All fees and expenses associated with Knights of Columbus Charities, such as operating and administration costs, are covered by the Knights of Columbus. Whatever cause you contribute to — providing a child the gift of warmth, advocating for a culture of life, giving persecuted religious minorities food and medical care or helping rebuild after natural disasters — every penny you donate goes directly to your chosen charity.
Together, we will make a difference. This is our path and our faith leads the way.
CHRISTIAN REFUGEE FUND
Christians who have fled the religious persecution in the Middle East receive aid through the Christian Refugee Relief Fund, established in 2014.

DISASTER RELIEF
When disaster strikes, our volunteers are ready with supplies and aid in impacted communities around the world.
COATS FOR KIDS PROGRAM
When families struggle to clothe their children with warm coats in the winter, Knights of Columbus councils help meet this basic need with Coats for Kids.
CULTURE OF LIFE FUND
The most effective pro-life program the Order has undertaken, the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative has funded 979 ultrasound machines in all 50 states and Canada, with a total value of more than $48 million.
WARRIORS TO LOURDES
Warriors to Lourdes is a pilgrimage co-sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the Archdiocese of the Military. Each year, over 100 wounded warriors embark to Lourdes for physical and spiritual healing.
ANNUAL APPEAL
Our United in Charities Annual Appeal provides support to all of our initiatives. Gifts to the Annual Appeal allow the Knights to meet our most pressing needs quickly.
VOCATIONS FUND
Scholarships for seminarians has helped many young men over the years pursue their call to the priesthood.
FATHER MCGIVNEY MILITARY CHAPLAIN SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2011, the Knights of Columbus Father McGivney Military Chaplains scholarship program helps fund the education of seminarians preparing to become Catholic chaplains in the U.S. Armed Forces
